Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Van Sales Driver to join our team at Allied Bakeries BSC. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering bakery products to our customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our top brands, including Kingsmill, Allinsons, and Sunblest.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Engage in our Safety-First culture and comply with internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and comply with tachograph records, company key control procedures, and working time regulations.
  • Maximise sales and contribute to sales growth of our company brands.
  • Develop close working relations with key decision makers within stores.
  • Check load against interim load summary and amend for any variances.
  • Ensure all products are correctly charged to the relevant customer and record any returns.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time and in full within the agreed time windows.
  • Daily collection of all baskets.
  • Any returns collected must be returned to the bakery for disposal on a daily basis.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the sharing of Best Practice within the Sales Team.

Requirements:
  • Experienced Professional Driver Category 2 (Category C).
  • Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
  • Be flexible and co-operative to assist in meeting business needs.
  • Experience of delivering to, or of working in a sales environment.
  • A digital drivers card would be desirable.
  • Merchandising experience would be desirable.
  • Experienced Professional Driver Category 1 (Category C + E) would be desirable.
