Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Bank team at University Hospital Ayr. As a Bank member of staff, you will work on a flexible basis to support the needs of our adult SLT team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Dysphagia competencies are essential for this role
- Relevant University Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Sciences
- Certificate to Practice from Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Extensive experience within a variety of clinical areas
- Evidence of further development of competencies within a specialist area
- Evidence of understanding the principles of quality improvement methodology
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate relevant digital competencies
- Car driver/Car licence is essential
