Dining Room Assistant

Heather Vale in Chesterfield is looking for a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team. As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service that meets the needs of our residents.
Estimated Salary: £20,500 - £23,000 per annum.
About the Role
Job Description:
The Catering Assistant will be responsible for:
- Delivering a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
- Compliance with food safely hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Minimising wastage when preparing meals and using equipment correctly.
- Escalating concerns and issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Health & safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSH)
- Previous catering experience with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives & kitchen equipment.
- Experience of working with older people
