Job Overview

This role will be responsible for the overall financial management of LKQ Euro Car Parts UK. The responsibilities will include month-end close postings, variance analysis, and reporting to LKQ Europe. This person will also be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, clearing of outstanding items, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing and reviewing month-end close postings
  • Responsible for maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations for UK company
  • Involvement in the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs for UK to LKQ Corporation, with variance analysis
  • Involvement in the preparation of SOX control compliance during close processes, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately, on time, and in adherence to LKQ Corp policy.
  • Responsible for responding to queries from external and internal auditors as necessary
  • Responsible for resolving VAT and Corporation Tax enquiries and analysis.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Superior analytical and Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A driven, hard-working individual
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience of working for an FMCG/logistics/multisite business
  • Experience of SOX
