Aircraft Compliance Director

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Director to join our team at MERJE Ltd. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our business meets all regulatory obligations and supporting the Director in their SMF16/17 responsibilities and wider compliance duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Compliance Officer to complete actions arising from the firm's Business Diary and Compliance Monitoring Programme.
  • Support the Compliance Officer with the firm's Complaints Handling process.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Officer in preparing for meetings with the Board and General Manager.
  • Ensure the team's adherence to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and relevant FCA rules at all times.
  • Evaluate risk areas, propose solutions for managing risk, and implement across the business.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance within an independent financial planning firm.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA requirements related to financial advice.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Retirement Income Advice would be beneficial.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
