Job Title: Assistant Ward Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Ward Manager to join our team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management to our inpatient mental health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Manage and coordinate the ward's resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and demands.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
