Job Title: Assistant General Manager
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to progress their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in helping to drive the commercial performance of our business, while also developing your leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for:
- To help lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, ensuring that all areas of the business are operating efficiently and effectively.
- To assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
- To help lead and deliver the commercial performance of the business, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- To help lead and deliver the operational excellence of the club, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly.
- To deliver the set KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- To help recruit, train and develop a team, providing coaching and guidance to help them succeed.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry.
- Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader in the way they manage.
- Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Must have experience in driving sales and helping to co-ordinate local marketing activity, as well as managing a successful team.
- Ideally will have experience as an Assistant Manager helping to oversee all business areas within a leisure facility, or have substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function.
