We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our integrated Pharmacy Team at HMP Wakefield, a Category A male prison in Wakefield. Our team provides a 24-hour healthcare service, and we are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Hours

This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, usually between 08:00 - 16:00. We offer a competitive salary of £23,100 - £27,195 (pro rata) depending on experience.

How We Will Support You

We offer a comprehensive induction program, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course. You will also have access to a competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, and our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to the supply, preparation, and assembly of medicines under the direction of the responsible Pharmacist.
  • Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines, and transportation of medicines.
  • Support the safe and secure management of medicines, following policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
