We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our integrated Pharmacy Team at HMP Wakefield, a Category A male prison in Wakefield. Our team provides a 24-hour healthcare service, and we are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, usually between 08:00 - 16:00. The salary is £23,100 - £27,195 (pro rata) depending on experience. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will provide high-quality support to the supply, preparation, and assembly of medicines under the direction of the responsible Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines, and transportation of medicines
  • Contribute to ensuring a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals
