Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a specialist Neurological Community service in a diverse borough. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, a Neuro Navigator / Nurse, and Support staff.

The post holder will gain experience assessing adults and developing treatment programs for a range of neurological conditions in the community, focusing on rehabilitation and disability management.

The post holder will also develop leadership skills, supervising band 6 Physiotherapists and influencing the operational direction of Physiotherapy within the organization.

As a clinical leader, the post holder will work with other band 7s to support the AHP Lead in delivering a high-quality service, underpinned by quality assurance, evidence-based practice, and patient experience feedback.

The service supports in-service training and a robust personal development review program to help staff with their learning and development.

Main Duties of the Job

To provide specialist assessment, treatment, and clinical management of clients with neurological conditions, determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits, and developing a Physiotherapy treatment program.

To develop efficient and effective Physiotherapy working practices to support a multidisciplinary team approach.

To work with the Allied Health Professional Lead to develop the service to meet changing health and social care agendas.

To be responsible for the clinical development and operational management of a team of Physiotherapists within the organization.
