Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Physiotherapist. The successful candidate will work closely with community partners and other healthcare professionals to provide specialist assessment and intervention to patients in the community.

The post holder will manage a variety of patients with long-term conditions, including dementia and delirium, falls, and chronic neurological and respiratory conditions. They will complete comprehensive assessments, treatment, and early discharge plans for patients with complex health and social care needs.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your managerial and supervisory skills, providing supervision to junior staff and contributing to service development and research.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist assessment and intervention to patients in the community
  • Managing a variety of patients with long-term conditions
  • Completing comprehensive assessments, treatment, and early discharge plans
  • Providing supervision to junior staff
  • Contributing to service development and research
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree or other recognized qualification in physiotherapy
  • Member ACPIN or AGILE
  • Wide-ranging post-graduate clinical experience, including musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, respiratory, elderly, and neurology
  • Extended post-graduate experience in acute medicine, including elderly care
  • Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of conditions and problems that may affect adults, including older people in an acute setting
  • Experience working in the community
  • Knowledge of assessment and provision of ADL equipment and minor adaptation
