Job Title: Production Team Operative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Production Team Operative to join our team at The Recruitment Co. in Nelson. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing all duties within the Production Department to ensure the effective running of the process function and/or production lines and associated systems/equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing all duties within the Production Department to ensure the effective running of the process function and/or production lines and associated systems/equipment.
Operating equipment/machinery and undertaking fault finding, changeovers including CIP where relevant, asset care, and basic machine maintenance activities.
Managing Raw Materials in accordance with FIFO and Storage Procedures.
Accurately completing all monitoring systems required by the Company in accordance with Company Policies, Procedures and Standards.
Reporting any non-conformances to Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and supporting corrective action activities.
Ability to motivate/manage team members to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards.
Working as a key member of a production team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
Supporting the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
Participating in traceability exercises, product trials, and site audits/visits.
Pro-actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems and participation in short interval control and root cause analysis assessments.
Demonstrating a willingness to develop within the role to achieve Excellent Competency Levels.
Requirements:
Ability to understand and to work to approved Standards / Safe Operating Procedures
IT Literate
Good understanding and awareness of Safety and Quality Standards within a workplace
Shift Pattern and Pay Rate:
The shift pattern will be 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights - 42 hours per week on average. The working hours are 6am - 6pm and then 6pm - 6am (12 hour shifts).
Pay Rate:
Basic Pay: £14.84 per hour
Overtime Pay: £22.26 per hour
Basic Pay for the training period: £13.79 per hour
Overtime Pay for the training period: £20.69 per hour
The positions are temporary to permanent
