We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Pets at Home Group. As a critical member of our testing team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that requires close collaboration with our DevOps squad to understand feature requirements and maintain quality from the start. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans, preparing test data, executing end-to-end test cases, and documenting results in Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with your assigned DevOps squad to ensure quality is embedded from the start.
  • Create detailed test plans, prepare test data, execute end-to-end test cases, and document results in Azure DevOps.
  • Contribute to the design and development of automated test scripts.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct smoke testing and regression testing to ensure new and existing features meet quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
  • Solid experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing techniques for test design and execution in manual testing.
  • Familiarity with acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) and behaviour-driven development (BDD).
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proven experience conducting smoke and regression testing.
Benefits and Perks

You can expect a competitive salary of around £55,000 per year, bonus potential, 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension scheme, discounted healthcare options, share options, and group discounts.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days a month in our Handforth, Cheshire office. Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for this role.
