About the Role

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Clinical Lead to join our team at HMP Erlestoke. As a senior practitioner, leader, and source of expert advice, you will support the Head of Healthcare in ensuring the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the prison.

Main Responsibilities

  • Exercise high degree of personal and professional autonomy to plan and implement complex and critical judgments.
  • Strategically innovate, deliver, clinically audit, and evaluate the Integrated Healthcare Service for the prison.
  • Establish and provide robust expert clinical leadership to the substance misuse team.
  • Ensure monitoring systems are in place to promote evidence-based practice and research.
  • Develop and participate in managerial and professional clinical supervision programs for the substance misuse team.
  • Implement effective patient-centred care planning tools as part of a trauma-informed model of delivery.

Requirements

  • Current Professional Qualification (Registered RGN, RMN, or MH Practitioner)
  • Evidence of Leadership/Management qualification
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
  • RCGP Part 1 and Part 2 certificate in Substance Misuse or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Advanced Clinical Practice Qualification at masters level

Experience

  • Previous middle management experience in multi-disciplinary environments delivering healthcare services
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Experience of service implementation, development, and change management
