Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and promoting our fostering services in the North West.
Key Responsibilities- Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
- Monitor the continued suitability and competence of Foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and learning environment for children/young people.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, ensuring they fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved, and the standards expected.
- Work in partnership with foster families to identify needs, develop plans, and provide support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children/young people.
- Ensure each child and foster parent are fully compliant with all key documentation and attend meetings as required.
- Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis and undertake occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
- A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in sometimes stressful/difficult situations.
- A full driving licence and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
