Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Good Ofsted rated SEN School in Ringwood, Hampshire.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide support for pupils, teachers, and the school, working within small-class sizes or with pupils on a 1:1 basis. You will offer a therapeutic approach rich in vocational opportunities, helping children and young people with extensive SEND to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for pupils with SEND in a therapeutic setting
  • Work with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Support pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and healthcare staff, to ensure comprehensive support for pupils
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training or willingness to complete
  • Right to Work in the UK and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
