About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Lifting Equipment Examiner to join our Specialist Plant & Equipment team based in Newton, Nottinghamshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, inspecting, and certifying lifting and other specialist equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations. This will involve working closely with the STE Office team to ensure that all equipment is booked out of the warehouse to the correct site and that deadlines are met.

About the Team

Our Specialist Plant & Equipment team is responsible for maintaining a large volume of lifting equipment for issue to various projects across the UK. We provide and maintain approximately 90,000 assets to various overhead powerline projects throughout the UK.

About the Role

As a Trainee Lifting Equipment Examiner, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills and knowledge in equipment inspection and certification. You will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting equipment that has been returned to from site, identifying damage and ensuring that all items are booked in to the warehouse in liaison with the STE Office team.
  • Carrying out and certifying scheduled on-site inspections of equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER Regulations.
  • Actively participating in all safety and improvement initiatives as required.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles taking equipment to and from construction sites.
