We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As an Optometrist - Advanced Eye Care Specialist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake advanced eye examinations, including slit lamp bio microscopy and volk lens examination
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the changing needs of patients
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery and high levels of patient care
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Optometry service
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals

Person Specification

  • Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and as an individual
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to gain cooperation from patients of all ages and abilities
