A fantastic opportunity to work with a successful, award-winning tour operator based in the North West of England as a Long Haul Travel Specialist with a focus on India. You will be using your specialist long haul travel knowledge of India to create truly bespoke, extraordinary experiences to India.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond efficiently and effectively to calls and emails from trade partners and direct customers.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain rates and source product for bespoke tailor-made enquiries.
- Be proactive in using your specialist long haul knowledge in India to support conversion of enquiries into sales.
- Manage the end-to-end sales and customer service journey, ensuring customers are notified of any operational changes affecting their holiday.
- Handle any issues arising in an efficient customer-focused way, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
- Provide an exceptional service to all customers via all channels.
- Support product team with input and feedback on product knowledge, pricing information, and competitor analysis.
- Proven expertise in a travel tailor-made sales role, with a background in tour operations.
- Strong knowledge of India is essential through own travelling and/or of putting together bespoke itineraries.
- Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of supplier contracts and costing itineraries.
- Working knowledge of a travel GDS - Amadeus or Galileo.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible approach, with a proactive creative approach to problem-solving.
- Basic salary of £25k to £29k plus monthly commission.
- 9 to 5.30 Monday to Saturdays, Saturdays on rota.
- Fam trips.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
