Our goal is to create a truly representative workforce where each employee feels respected and valued, enabling them to contribute their best to our mission.

The Complex Care Team, part of NHS Highland, provides vital support to children and their families within the Highland region, offering care in home environments and the wider community.

This rewarding role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families, empowering them to access education and enabling parents to have a restful night's sleep, knowing their child is receiving high-quality care. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively to support children within the service, accompanying them and/or their families during school, nursery, hospital appointments, outings, and respite activities during your shift.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills through training and familiarization with the competency framework, which will be provided. You will also play a key role in implementing guidelines and protocols, working closely with the Senior to ensure the highest standards of care.

We are seeking a flexible and dedicated individual who can work a variety of day, evening, weekend, and night shifts, as part of a 24/7 service. Shift patterns and times are driven by the needs of the children within the service. While this is a NHSH-wide position, the post holder will be based in Inverness, with an expectation to travel to support the service. Access to a car is essential for this role.

Informal enquiries can be made to Rebekah Black, and candidates wishing to apply on a secondment basis should complete the relevant form and return it to the specified email address, in addition to completing the full application process.

We strive to ensure that our work environment is conducive to nurturing a positive culture, supported and delivered through our NHS and Social Care values, which include care and compassion, dignity and respect, openness, honesty, and responsibility, and quality and teamwork.

As a valued member of our team, you will be supported by the Senior and will have access to training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. We are committed to providing a challenging and rewarding work environment that recognizes the importance of work-life balance.

Based on the requirements of the role, we estimate the salary for this position to be around £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of society. Candidates should apply by completing the application process on Jobtrain and should not upload a CV, as it will not be used for shortlisting purposes. Posts close at midnight on the indicated date, and applicants are advised to check their email regularly, including junk folders, and their Jobtrain account for updates.
