We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Support Specialist Placement Student to join our Sales team for our Power Systems Business segment in the UK. During your placement, you will gain valuable experience and develop the skills needed to become an expert in the industry.

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence on a specified date.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare sales analyses and reports for key stakeholders in the sales function and provide sales support for Cummins products and/or services throughout the sales cycle.
  • Analyze data to provide recurring reports to the sales organization and perform quality assurance to ensure the validity of the analysis.
  • Maintain accurate sales entry, reporting, and forecasting through the utilization of Cummins tools and processes.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database and seek opportunities to utilize processes and procedures designed to grow the business and increase customer value and loyalty.
  • Work with Senior Analysts and the Business Intelligence Leader to understand the needs of end users.
  • Ensure good communication and coordination across the Sales function and other departments in support of customer satisfaction, sales goals, and Cummins culture goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A level in Maths, Finance, or Marketing. Studying for a bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Finance.
  • Sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Tech savvy, project management, and self-development.
  • Data analytics and data quality.
