About the Role

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Research Analyst to join its Sustainable Infrastructure Group (SIG). As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the technical authority of the SIG infrastructure-banking teams, aiding in project preparation, implementation, and monitoring, as well as providing strategic insights, business intelligence, and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various topics and issues related to the EBRD's strategy, operations, and environment.
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize data and information from various sources, including internal and external databases, reports, publications, and media.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the unit's products and services, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the unit head, senior staff, and other stakeholders, and contribute to the unit's positive visibility, knowledge management, and learning.
  • Maintain data for workload and project/programme monitoring.
  • Contribute to the quality and timeliness of SIG's policy delivery, including all events, seminars, products, and other policy-related endeavours of the Unit, SIG Banking team Operational Leads, and Management of the SIG.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business, economics, political science, or international relations.
  • Relevant work experience in research, analysis, or consulting, preferably in a strategic or policy-oriented setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English, and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and purposes.
  • Proficient in using various tools and software for data collection, analysis, and visualisation, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, or R.
