Job Summary
The National Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Operations Manager to join our team in Preston. As a key member of the Waste Management & Decommissioning Capability, you will play a crucial role in delivering commercial R&D projects that solve complex challenges in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the work of others and provide coaching to develop the skills and abilities of others
- Act as Area Owner for specific areas of the facility, taking 'ownership' of those designated areas, ensuring that the 'look and feel' lives up to NNL's values and expectations
- Lead the development and application of appropriate technical and managerial processes and systems in their working area

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific subject and experience of working in a controlled radiochemistry laboratory. Your excellent communication and leadership skills will enable you to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and drive the delivery of projects. You will also need to be able to obtain SC-level security clearance. The salary for this role is approximately £65,000-£85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
