Job Summary

The Aviation Planner position at Jacobsen|Daniels is a critical role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to project managers and coordinators to fulfill client needs. Your primary focus will be on completing assigned project work by effectively collaborating with others to complete tasks, coordinating project work and status, and managing the work efforts of project analysts and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a scope of work based on client needs, including a detailed breakdown of tasks, hours needed to complete, and associated schedule/fee.
  • Manage the work efforts of team members to complete elements of the scope of work, including subconsultants, junior staff, and senior staff.
  • Manage projects to agreed-upon timeframes and budget, maintaining day-to-day primary contact with client contacts.
  • Develop all work products required for a project, including written reports, plans, drawings, presentation items, and other materials.
  • Prepare and review data, information received, and deliverables with attention to detail to identify gaps and alignment with scoped requirements.
  • Identify problems that may develop during a project as early as possible and work to resolve any issues as expediently as possible.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required; a degree in aviation management, urban planning, architecture, engineering, quantitative analysis, math, computer sciences, graphics, computer-aided design, or public administration is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with an expectation of 40 hours of work per week. Periodic weekend or evening work may be required. Work is performed at the client site or remotely, with occasional travel to work sites expected (estimated to be 10% travel).
