Occupational Therapist Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and treatments focusing on perinatal mental health, transition to parenthood, and the infant-mother relationship.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for clients of the CWP Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Services.
- Caseload management in the Wirral area, with the team's base at Pioneer Business Park, Ellesmere Port.
- Facilitate group and individual interventions, as well as training for other professionals and students.
- Manage case work and liaison with community agencies, both statutory and non-statutory.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a specialist area of occupational therapy practice and work towards delivering high-quality care for clients. The successful applicant will have experience in mental health settings, group and individual interventions, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
- Postgraduate experience in a mental health setting as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of current best practice in occupational therapy and relevant specialties.
- Able to communicate effectively and possess good listening skills.
- Experience in training other professionals and students.
- Experience of managing case work and liaison with community agencies.
