About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Deben View in Woodbridge, Suffolk. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to customers, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication and assist with daily living tasks
  • Support customers with temporary or terminal illnesses, including palliative care
  • Assist with eating and drinking, and provide light domestic duties such as bed making
  • Engage customers in social, physical, and mental stimulation activities, such as hobbies and recreation

To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:

  • If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (e.g., college, sixth form, apprenticeship)
  • You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week
  • The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk
  • You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment
