Senior Design Technology Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned educator to serve as our Head of Design Technology at Wayman Learning Trust.

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive Design Technology curriculum that caters to diverse student needs.
  • To direct the delivery of high-quality teaching learning and assessment within the department ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
  • To lead the recruitment development and performance management of Design Technology teaching staff to maintain high standards of education.
  • To manage resources effectively to guarantee optimal support for delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
  • To cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity innovation and practical skills development.
  • To represent the department at school leadership meetings and contribute to broader school initiatives.

Your Profile:

  • A master's degree or higher in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing a Design Technology department.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students fostering a love of design and problemsolving.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
