Job Overview

We are seeking a Curriculum Development Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our KS3 and KS4 curriculum for students with SEN, developing and delivering structured programs to improve outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing executive functioning and organizational programs
  • Delivering anxiety/anger management initiatives and therapy strategies reinforcement
  • Collaborating with the SENCO, ARC Manager, and Pastoral Manager to enhance the achievement of specific student groups
  • Coordinating an additional nurture course for students requiring more support than Level 5 TAs
  • Assisting teachers in delivering the KS3 and KS4 in-class curriculum to students with SEN
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of up to 6 students
  • Modeling best practices from the EEF guidance 'Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants' for the TA team and teachers
  • Providing support to students individually or in small groups
  • Assisting with healthcare, first aid, and personal needs as required
  • Taking on general responsibilities within the ARC/Learning & Inclusion team
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recent experience working with secondary school students and prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Prior experience working with autistic students exhibiting high levels of anxiety
  • Demonstrated energy and enthusiasm
Salary and Benefits

£33,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. All applicants must hold the necessary qualifications and training for this role.
