About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team at IDEMIA Public Security's Justice and Public Safety division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transform requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Use programming, scripting, and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and optimizes software performance.
  • Identify existing software components, libraries, and frameworks to reuse in solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Contribute to requirement analysis and estimations, software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities.
  • Build software structure, including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
  • Contribute to software architecture, including specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.
  • Codes large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline, and cost.
  • Perform design and code reviews and assess software performance optimization.
  • Coach and manage a small team of Software Development Engineers.
Requirements
  • Have significant experience in the field of software development.
  • Have knowledge of different languages: Java, Python, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI 3, APIs, SVN, Bitbucket, Nexus, Sonarqube, Nessus, Cyberwatch.
  • Have good command of English.
