About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at IDEMIA Public Security's Justice and Public Safety division. As a trusted provider of biometric solutions, we empower global law enforcement agencies with our expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform requirements into software according to design, maximizing business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Write software code that meets requirements and optimizes software performance using programming, scripting, and database languages.
  • Identify existing software components, libraries, and frameworks to reuse in solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Contribute to requirement analysis and estimations, and support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities.
  • Build software structure, including functions, design patterns, layers, and document solutions with code comments, layouts, diagrams, and charts.
  • Contribute to software architecture, perform design and code reviews, and assess software performance optimization.
  • Code large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline, and cost, and promote the organization's technical governance.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting, coach, and manage a small team of Software Development Engineers.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of languages: Java, Python, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI 3, APIs, SVN, Bitbucket, Nexus, Sonarqube, Nessus, Cyberwatch.
  • Good command of English.
  • Good communication skills.
