As a Senior Backend Developer, you will join IDEMIA Public Security's Justice and Public Safety division, which applies biometric technology expertise to empower global law enforcement agencies.

About the Role

This role transforms requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uses programming, scripting, and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and optimizes software performance.
  • Identifies existing software components, libraries, and frameworks to reuse in solutions.
  • Applies knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Contributes to requirement analysis and estimations.
  • Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements.
  • Built software structure, including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
  • Contributes to software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.).
  • Codes large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline, and cost.
  • Performs design and code reviews and assesses software performance optimization.
  • Coaches and manages a small team of Software Development Engineers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of different languages: Java, Python, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI 3, APIs, SVN, Bitbucket, Nexus, Sonarqube, Nessus, Cyberwatch.
  • Good command of English.
