About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities or learning difficulties, ensuring they receive the care and education they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students in their work, providing individual support and guidance as needed
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials to create a conducive learning environment
  • Track learner progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Provide general individual assistance, including attending to students' health, safety, physical, and hygiene needs
Requirements
  • Qualification to at least Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE equivalent)
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in an education or caring capacity, particularly supporting students or young people with learning difficulties and/or other disabilities
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and equal opportunities
  • Level 2 note-taking qualification or equivalent (desirable)
