Job Title: Business Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school's budget, overseeing the school site, and ensuring the effective management of financial administration procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Prepare and monitor the school's budget, including forecasts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • School Site Management: Oversee the school site, managing the maintenance and overseeing contractors.
  • Line Management: Line manage the premises team, including the caretaker and cleaners.
  • Financial Administration: Be responsible for the effective management of financial administration procedures, including processing orders and invoices for the whole school.
  • Recruitment Support: Support with the recruitment of staff, following safer recruitment regulations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication and IT Skills: Excellent communication and IT skills are essential for this role.
  • Prioritization and Multi-Tasking: The ability to prioritize work and multi-task is also essential.
  • Professional Confidentiality: Understand the need to always maintain professional confidentiality.
  • English and Mathematics Skills: Good English and mathematics skills (grade C or level 4 or above) are required.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SIMS.net and SAGE would be an advantage.
