Job Title: Podiatrist Senior Offender HealthAbout the Role

Your Day to Day
  • Manage your own clinical caseload, including waiting lists, in partnership with HMP sites.
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with all PPH standards, policies, and procedures.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of your work, including patient management.
  • Assess capacity, gain informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity.
  • Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, formulate individualized management plans, and deliver a range of podiatric treatments.
  • Provide advice and instruction to patients, communicate effectively with carers, and provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Maintain your clinical professional development by staying up-to-date with new trends and developments.
  • Participate in the CPD training programme, attend external courses, and practice reflective practice.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure delivery of a coordinated service.
  • Participate in staff appraisal and Personal Development Plan (PDP).
Organisational Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for your area of work, plan and organize efficiently, and ensure patient management aligns with best clinical practice.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communicate assessment and treatment results, and be involved in data collection and audits.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety aspects and implement policies to improve safety.
