Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Finance Manager to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping us navigate the challenges of the 2025/26 budget and Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) refresh.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Strategic Finance Manager – Financial Planning/MTFS to lead the development and delivery of medium-term financial planning. This will involve coordinating the Council's annual budget process, aligning with Corporate and Service planning processes, and ensuring the delivery of longer-term financial sustainability in a complex and financially challenged authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver medium-term financial planning, in conjunction with Senior Leaders and Finance Business Partner colleagues.
  • Coordinate the Council's annual budget process, ensuring alignment with Corporate and Service planning processes.
  • Lead on the alignment with key strategies, such as the Treasury Management Strategy.
  • Coordinate financial monitoring and reporting processes across the Council, ensuring regular reporting to the council's leadership.
  • Improve current processes and ensure they are fit for purpose, providing information that aligns financial and service delivery.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent financial planning and management skills, with the ability to work in a challenging environment and deliver genuine change and transformation. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders.
