Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our production team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the production of high-profile military projects, working on the assembly and manufacture of vehicles and containers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture, assemble, and build specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data.
  • Support the Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard.
  • Work with a variety of materials and equipment to meet business and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement continuous improvements, including lean and 5s procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant work area, ensuring all tasks are carried out within allocated time.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical, fitting, or joining experience.
  • Previous experience within automotive or heavy industry highly desirable.
  • Understanding and experience in Assembly processes and techniques.
  • Competent skills gained through training and experience, with ability to communicate within the team.
  • Familiar with a workshop environment and understanding of Production methods and processes.
