Job Overview:

Marshall Land Systems is seeking skilled Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join their production team in Cambridge. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial part in high-profile military projects, working on the production of vehicles and containers. Your ideas and contributions will be valued in a business where people matter.

Salary: £19.12 per hour PAYE (PAYE rate includes £2.89's worth of holiday pay, making the total hourly rate £22.01)

Hours: Monday – Thursday (7 hours)

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manufacture, assemble, and build specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet business and customer expectations.
  2. Support Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure all Marshall Land Systems projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard.
  3. Understand and work to configuration control processes.
Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Mechanical, fitting, or joining experience.
  2. Previous experience in automotive or heavy industry is highly desirable.
  3. Any prior experience in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent trade is highly beneficial.
  4. Understanding and experience in Assembly processes and techniques.
  5. Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within a team.
  6. Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data.
  7. Understanding of planning methods and skills.

Desirable:

  1. Ideal completion of a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, Manufacturing, and Assembly Qualification or comprehensive on-the-job experience.
