Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Service Development Officer within the Anti-Poverty Service. As a key member of our Benefits and Financial Support team, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for local communities by providing excellent support and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing improved ways of delivering our service, ensuring that support reaches those most vulnerable and in need of financial assistance in a timely manner. This will involve working closely with our IT partners to automate processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and producing performance management reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation - leading on joint working projects with our IT partners to save processing time through automated processes.
  • Compliance - ensuring staff have completed necessary training and coordinating the completion of statutory returns.
  • Produce Performance management reports.
  • Benefit subsidy - liaising with internal and external auditors and other relevant stakeholders.

You will work closely with colleagues within the wider Anti-Poverty service to develop and assist in the creation of benefit take-up campaigns, helping to improve the lives of local communities.
