Job Title: Learning and Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our HR/L&D structure, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the site's learning and development budget.
  • Implement and champion a site-wide learning and development strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Be the first point of contact for learning and development queries at site level and ensure all training activities are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure regulatory training is delivered and maintained, covering areas such as health and safety, regulatory compliance, food safety, and customer/retailer requirements.
  • Deliver structured learning and development programs and competency-based frameworks for colleagues at all levels, ensuring they have the technical and behavioral/soft-skills required to improve and open up future career opportunities.
  • Deliver learning events, including inductions, and conduct learning needs and skills assessments.
  • Ensure all learning and development activities result in the ongoing development of the site and people, helping to build high-performing teams, increase staff engagement, and improve retention.
  • Continuously look for new and improved ways of development/training, exploring new methodologies and methods of delivery.
  • Ensure training records/metrics and systems are accurate, updated, and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Experience in learning and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in coaching and developing senior leaders and operational management.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £45,000.
  • Pension up to 5%.
  • More than statutory holiday - 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays).
