Care Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Professional with at least 6 months of experience in care to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist patients in their daily activities, ensuring a high standard of care.
The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills, contributing positively to the wellbeing of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the healthcare facility.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a healthcare or care assistant role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid DBS check (if not in place, we can assist with obtaining one).
- Care-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are desirable, but not essential.
