Job Description

Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking to recruit an experienced care worker to join their team as a home care support worker.

This role involves providing support to elderly services users in their own homes, assisting with personal care and dressing, meal preparation, and administering medication.

Visits to service users will be conducted throughout the shift, with a small area to cover, making it not essential to be a driver for this position.

The role offers a flexible schedule, with a mixture of shifts available across the week. You will be able to select your hours each week, making it suitable for both part-time and full-time work.

The role is being offered on a rolling contract with a pay rate of £14.24 per hour, with enhanced rates for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing personal care to service users
  2. Assisting with the preparation of meals
  3. Administering medication
  4. Updating care plans and records for the service users
Requirements
  1. Experience of working with older adults in a domiciliary care setting
  2. SSSC registration
  3. Valid PVG check
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
