About the Role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our culinary team as a Chef de Partie at The Hawthorns, a unique retirement model offering luxurious retirement properties to rent.

As a key member of our team, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a high-quality culinary service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and address special needs or dietary requirements.
  • Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste and ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ, and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will also have a minimum of 1-year catering experience and demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services.

We value adaptability and flexibility, as you will be required to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
