Product Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Engineer to join our Central Engineering department at Ocado Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Conduct field visits and product testing to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Work closely with product development teams to ensure successful product launches and handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant product safety and compliance regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a field service engineering role within manufacturing, automotive, airports, or FMCG distribution environment.
  • Strong technical and practical competence relating to automation and general engineering.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and automation, including strong knowledge of automation control, sensors, and actuators.
  • Experience with Siemens TIA portal and industrial communication protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Siemens safety PLC and experience with functional safety systems.
  • Experience using Beckhoff control systems.
  • Technical or engineering qualification, to HND level in a relevant field.
