Leigh Academy Bexley is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our core team of instructional support staff. As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide essential support across the school in periods of teacher absence, such as PPA cover, school trips, and short absence. You will be responsible for providing instructions and ensuring the work set by the class teacher is worked on by students, answering students' general questions, and reporting back to the teacher on a range of issues.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with secondary-aged students, be patient and empathetic, and be confident in leading a full class. This is an exciting opportunity to explore a range of subjects within a school and enhance your opportunities for career progression.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will not be responsible for planning lessons or assessing student progress. Instead, you will focus on providing high-quality support to students and teachers, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.

The working basis of this role is 36 hours per week during Term Time, plus 1 week inset. You will be part of a warm and caring family of staff, Governors, and Trust colleagues who share a deep commitment to providing an outstanding education for our students.
