Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary up to £45,600 per annum depending on skills and experience. Additionally, you can increase your earning potential by £8,000-£10,000 per annum through standby rota payments and overtime opportunities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation and Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of water production assets, including level instrumentation, flow meters, and TVM's turbidity monitors.

You will work with technology such as SCADA systems, associated PLCs, and process control networks. A strong practical understanding of operational assets and control systems is essential, as well as a solid understanding of SCADA systems, relay logic, and PLCs (Rockwell & Alan Bradley). Ideally, you should have an HNC/Level 4 education or 6+ years' experience including time served apprenticeship within Control, Instrumentation and Automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair water production assets
  • Work with SCADA systems, PLCs, and process control networks
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers as necessary
  • Investigate asset failures and implement repairs efficiently
  • Provide technical advice and support where needed
