Infection Prevention Specialist Clinical Lead

We are seeking a skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a clinical lead, you will play a vital role in reducing the incidence of healthcare infections through risk assessment, surveillance, audit, intervention, and education.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infection Prevention Specialist to work alongside our well-established Infection and Prevention and Control Team. You will be responsible for providing highly specialised clinical advice on all matters relating to infection control, outbreak management, and hospital hygiene.
Main Responsibilities:- To provide expert guidance on infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national guidelines and standards.
- To support the development and implementation of effective infection control strategies to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- To maintain close liaison with the Infection Control Doctor and other medical microbiologists and virologists on matters relating to infection prevention and control.
- To participate in data capture for surveillance as required by national and local surveillance requirements.

Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is between £42,939 and £50,697 per annum, including High Cost Area allowances. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
