Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer

BP Pulse is seeking a highly skilled Staff Platform Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our ambition to scale an outstanding engineering team, environment, and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and motivate senior engineers to ensure they have the right skills to build and maintain high-quality and reliable infrastructure.
  2. Contribute to the evolution of our engineering culture by shaping and refining our Engineering Standards.
  3. Provide engineers with the support, training, and opportunities to facilitate their growth through continuous learning and improvement initiatives.
  4. Measure and monitor actionable performance metrics.
  5. Work closely with HO Digital Engineering to plan and coordinate resource allocation.
  6. Provide feedback on and continuously improve our scaled agile processes.
Key Relationships:

Developing and supporting engineers in their personal growth and career progression. Leading multiple highly collaborative infrastructure development teams in a scaled agile environment.

Knowledge & Experience:

Strong experience in leading multiple highly collaborative infrastructure development teams in a scaled agile environment. Proven and successful experience in adopting and operating scaled agile practices and frameworks. Excellent understanding of system design, software architecture, cloud, and software engineering methodologies. AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC experience is a must. Experience developing and supporting engineers in their personal growth and career progression. Coding in more than one language. Layer cake and PaaS exposure.

Travel Requirement:

Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role.

This position is a hybrid of office/remote working.
