Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to lead our security services in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the security industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility depending on operational requirements. The role is based in our London office in Mayfair, working alongside a dynamic and energetic team.

We offer a competitive salary, 28 days' holiday per annum, including bank holidays, and an annual performance-based bonus upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operational management of security services, including out-of-hours visits and audits, acting as the key client contact.
  • Reporting and liaising daily with the Head of Operations to ensure effective communication of all matters.
  • Overseeing recruitment for the contract, ensuring all posts are fully staffed.
  • Developing and motivating the team, including interviewing, appraisals, induction plans, and staff training.
  • Delivering and maintaining standards in line with the company's standard operating procedures.
  • Working closely with our dedicated control room to ensure planning and allocating resources as required.
  • Adhering to all company procedures, ensuring audits are carried out and documented in line with company policy.
  • Managing and motivating the team to improve standards and the quality of the customer experience.
  • Delivering, building, and strengthening client relationships across the contract.
  • Addressing constructive and negative feedback, turning around any complaints, and protecting the business's reputation.
  • Applying excellent attention to detail, maintaining effective controls, and implementing necessary systems and procedures for the smooth running of the contract.
  • Ensuring all HR issues are dealt with in a timely manner and followed up using company protocols.
  • Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual performance appraisals, setting targets for the team, and ensuring each individual has their own development plan.
  • Developing sales leads where opportunities arise, working alongside the commercial lead to maximise sales opportunities and strategy.
  • Traveling as required to conduct site visits where the company is involved.
  • Ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators, requirements, and minimising associated risks to the company and client.
  • Completing and sharing monthly and quarterly reports with the client.
  • Leading on ideas and innovation for the contract.
  • Managing and responding to incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Providing presentations to service staff and clients as required, to inform and educate, and to maintain and provide input for client reports.
  • Attending company quarterly meetings as required.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within the security industry (3+ years), with a natural flair for customer service.
  • Experience in a similar or contract management role.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Immaculate presentation.
  • Proactive and able to work well under pressure and problem-solve.
  • Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Valid SIA licence.
  • 5 years of verifiable work history.
