Festival Development Manager

About the Role:
The Festival is seeking a skilled Major Gifts Fundraising Specialist to join our small, kind, friendly, supportive, hard-working, open-minded, and ambitious team. This full-time role involves developing positive relationships with donors, identifying new individuals who would like to support Oxford International Song Festival, and ensuring that top and potential donors are well looked after and researched.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and build relationships with donors
- Identify new individuals who would like to support Oxford International Song Festival
- Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues
- Develop a clear understanding of Oxford International Song Festival's artistic vision and future plans, and ways in which individuals can choose to support different areas of our work
- Proof and submit applications written by the Trusts and Grants Writer and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations
Requirements:
- Proven success in securing major donations
- Experience of developing positive relationships with donors
- Experience of prospective donor identification and initial approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written
- Experience in handling CRM systems
- Experience in budget management
- Excellent attention to detail, personal organisation, and time management
- Experience of working efficiently and effectively on their own as well as in a team
- Understands the arts sector
About Us:
Oxford International Song Festival brings many of the world's leading singers and pianists to Oxford, as well as showcasing exciting emerging artists. Our main focus of activity is the Festival, which takes place over two weeks each October. We also have other events throughout the year, including our Spring Song Festival and Learning & Participation projects.
