Senior Development Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Planner to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our Northern Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the planning and promotion of strategic land projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site appraisals and feasibility studies to identify potential development opportunities.
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals with precision, ensuring compliance with UK planning legislation and policy.
- Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants to drive project success and influence local planning policies and frameworks.
- Provide expert advice on complex planning and development matters, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and assess potential development sites for maximum impact, showcasing strong leadership skills and project management expertise.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the private sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy.
- Demonstrated success in managing planning applications and appeals effectively.
